Wednesday Wedding Whale: DONE

May 23, 2012

I mentioned on Monday that the wedding dress is finished, and it is! Just needs a final ironing before I put it on the last time in about a month. Again I’m not going to show you the full dress because a) you can see my test run dress and use your imagination and 2) it will look way better all done up on the wedding day.

I will show you some of the last details though.

Extra silk thread Bia bought for me. Now I have a ton of extra silk and lining fabric, trim and thread to store away… for something, it’ll be useful someday I guess.

Something blue!
Blue hem tape from Grandma’s stash before being turned inside.

And what’s a Whale with out some links?

  • Did I ever mention I love books? It’s obviously genetic, my dad literally has a library in his basement (that is slowly spreading and Bia is not happy about it, but that’s a whole other bag of worms!), and I can’t wait til I have one (maybe a combination sewing room/library). This is a great history of the American Library in Paris.
  • These are pretty awesome… but maybe just a little disturbing since they’re cute toy stuffed animals mounted.
  • A wedding related link! Doesn’t Hillary Clinton look hip in on her wedding day?
  • And I think I need a white lab coat.
