Portraits Reinterpreted

This has nothing to do with sewing, but it’s just too cool to pass up without sharing. I don’t wear heals much, and especially not Christian Loubouin shoes, but I love just about all forms of painted art and reinterpretations of classic paintings. I got this straight from Style Bubble (hope that’s ok, I’m sighting my sources!). Just so you know, the first painting/photo pictured in the source post is definitely not safe for work. These two pictures are my favorite because they fit the accessories in so well with the rest of the setting that you almost don’t notice them at first.

"Magdalene and the Flame"

"Saint Dorothy"

The chiaroscuro in the first picture is magnificent! It’s really beautiful. And, the shoes are pretty awesome too!
